Twin Cities Marathon Info Sheet

Support your community’s health by supporting your health. Join Team PAM!

Are you ready to run for the past?

You run for your health, for the challenge, to cross the finish line. Now, run for a great cause and support the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota’s (PAM) mission to preserve our state’s historic places. We invite runners interested in participating in the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon to join Team PAM.

Make the pledge

If you missed out on the registration period for the Twin Cities Marathon then you’ve come to the right place. We have access to late registrations – in return for a registration we ask you to raise $350 for PAM. All donations received are tax-deductible as we are a 501(c)3 nonprofit.

How am I going to raise my pledge?

Ask your coworkers, neighbors, family, and friends to support your health, your goals, your run, and your cause. (Besides, don’t you always buy cookies from them??) This year, we’ve partnered with Crowdrise (, to make it simpler for supporters to donate on your behalf.

What do I get?

First, we’ll give you a registration code to get into the marathon (you still pay the registration fee). We’ll be hosting a couple of fun events for our runners, including a happy hour event (or two), occasional training runs, and a gathering to kick-start your fundraising efforts. We will also send you a custom race training schedule in a spreadsheet designed to help hold you accountable as a runner. Last, but not least, when you meet your fundraising pledge, we will give you a custom designed Team PAM running shirt.

Ask that your donor pledge $25it will only take you 14 donors to reach your goal! Psst…that’s less than $1 for every mile for the marathoners, $2.50 for 10 milers, and $4 for the 10K. If you ask for a specific dollar amount, you’re likely to get more.

You will be overwhelmed by your community’s generosity.

Thank them and share moments in your training journey with them along the way. Make them a part of your success.

How do I get my pledge donations to PAM?

Online credit card donations can be made through Crowdrise or check donations (made out to Preservation Alliance of Minnesota) can either be mailed to PAM with your name in the memo line or you can collect and send to PAM. All donations must be in PAM office by Friday, October 4, 2013.
