PAM engages in programs and initiatives that are designed to raise awareness of and support preservation efforts across the state. PAM’s Sites Worth Saving program provides hands-on assistance for significant historic sites that are facing emerging and developing threats or ongoing challenges to preservation. PAM’s annual Preservation Awards celebrates the best and boldest examples of rehabilitation, preservation, and adaptive reuse from across the state.

Minnesota Main Street, a program of the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota, is recognized by the National Trust Main Street Center® as the official statewide coordinating program in Minnesota.  Minnesota Main Street began its work in May of 2010 providing participating local Main Street organizations with the training, tools, information, and networking they need to be successful in their downtown revitalization efforts.

The Minnesota Main Street Program has been financed in part with funds provided by the State of Minnesota from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund through the Minnesota Historical Society.
