To preserve is to save something for the future. The idea of taking something in and guarding it for future use is represented by inward arrows. PAM strives to preserve Minnesota’s historic sites. Today, PAM works with groups like the State Historic Preservation Office and the National Trust for Historic Preservation to preserve our communities. As the home of Minnesota Main Street, PAM can easily work directly with citizens in Main Street communities to preserve historic structures. Our traveling field representative traverses Minnesota to ensure that significant sites are saved. PAM also believes that sustainability, in terms of both “green” design and economic stability, is integral to preservation.  We are beginning to get more involved in Real Estate, another valuable method to do the work of preserving historic places. In our thirty year history the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota has supported the preservation of more than 1,000 significant sites and we’ll continue this work well into the next thirty years and beyond.
