PAM Sponsored Trip to Conservationist Retreats in Northern Minnesota

Two of our dedicated board members have an exciting excursion planned in Northern Minnesota to visit the retreats of Sig Olson and Ernest Oberholtzer! This 3 day trip, scheduled for June 20th-22nd, 2014 will visit Ely, International Falls, Rainy Lake and Mallard Island. Cost is a $150 non-refundable deposit and details are as follows:

Friday June 20th:

3pm tour of Listening Point Retreat of Sig Olson near Ely, MN

• Friday night in International Falls. Lodging or camping and dinner reserved but paid for by individuals

Saturday June 21st:

Tour early 20th Century school adapted as a community center

• 1pm picnic lunch at Voyageurs

• 3pm departure from Bald Rock to Mallard Island, 1920-1970 home of Ernest Oberholtzer

• Camping in rustic cabins overnight on Mallard Island

Sunday June 22nd:

• Return to Bald Rock, drive home

*Deposit includes evening at Mallard, dinner, breakfast and two lunches. Transportation not included but carpooling is STRONGLY encouraged! This is about a 5 hour drive from the Twin Cities.
