The Duluth Preservation Alliance is making their annual call for nominations for the cities best examples of sensitively remodeled homes and building of historical significance.

Each year the DPA selects and honors those who have successfully renovated their historic property. The public is welcome to nominate individuals or businesses who have restored a property during the previous calendar year. For 2013, all work must have been completed in 2012. The most successful project receive an award from the group at the DPA’s annual awards program in May.

The May event also recognizes houses that half past the 100-year mark with their Centennial Home Recognition certificate.

Anyone can nominate a property by sending the owners’ names and addresses to Bob Berg [robert.berg @ duluth.k12.mn.us] or Jane Shullat [eugene.shull @ gmail.com]. The Preservation Award nomination deadline is March 15; the Centennial Home nomination deadline is April 18.
