The National Park Service Technical Preservation Services offers useful guides in historic rehabilitation. Included at the site are:

Illustrated Guidelines for Rehabilitating Historic Buildings explores the US Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation. The site offers rehabilitation basics and illustrated guidelines for specific building features and areas (windows, entrances, roofs, masonry, wood, etc.). Additional topics include energy, new additions, accessibility, and health/safety.

From the Roof Down and Skin Deep provides a distance learning opportunity focusing historic home maintenance.

The Rehab Yes/No Learning Program is designed to emphasize the importance of planning in preservation maintenance and rehabilitation.
