NTHP Accepting Nominations for 2013 America’s 11 Most Endangered

The National Trust for Historic Preservation is accepting nominations for its annual list of America’s 11 Most Endangered Historic Places®. The 2013 list will be announced in June. Since 1988, the designation has been a powerful tool for raising awareness and rallying resources to save endangered sites from every region of the country. At times, that attention has garnered public support to quickly rescue a treasured landmark; while in other instances, it has been the impetus of a long battle to save an important piece of our history.

When evaluating a potential site for inclusion on the list, the National Trust considers a range of factors, including its significance, the urgency of the threat it faces, and potential solutions to that threat. The deadline for nominating a site to the list is March 1, 2013. To contact 11 Most program staff with questions, please e-mail 11Most@savingplaces.org or call 202-588-6141.
