Advisory Council Seeks Chairmans Award Nominations

The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation is seeking strong candidates for recognition through the Chairman’s Award for Achievement in Historic Preservation program in proximity to its August meeting site of Newark, New Jersey. Nominations should be for exemplary historic preservation accomplishments or programs that have some connection with federal properties or programs, but the federal component does not have to be predominant. The Chairman’s Award for Achievement in Historic Preservation recognizes projects, programs, or policies that make significant contributions to historic preservation in conjunction with a federal entity or property. This award also acknowledges noteworthy accomplishments in the promotion and advancement of the current Administration’s goals with respect to cultural and natural heritage resources and historic preservation, especially those which add benefit for the federal government and the public.

Nominations should be received by June 18, 2012.
